Yesterday, we had a snowstorm in Charlottesville! It was the first — and probably only — real snow we had this winter, and even though we only got about five inches, snow like this is a big deal in Virginia. It was the kind of snow southerners love most: blanketing, picturesque and gone by morning.
(Seriously. You wouldn't even know if was ever here less than 18 hours later!)
I'm always ready for spring on January 1st and therefore hate snow after December, but Kyle is obsessed. He's from the South — snow is a novelty to him, much to my Canadian annoyance! But I admit, it was too pretty not to enjoy (though I'm glad it's long gone). We ventured out to see our neighbourhood covered in white:
Kyle made a little snowman. This picture gives no context for his size, but he was a teeny-tiny four inches:
Now I'm ready for spring.
