I love Valentine's Day and always have. It's my second favourite day of the year, after Christmas Eve. It's this little day of warmth amidst these cold, winter months. I don't even care if it's a "Hallmark holiday." It's about love, and I love it anyway. And the fact that light pink and red happens to be my all-time favourite colour combination makes the day just that much prettier.
Today, Kyle surprised me with a little picnic lunch. There was lots of yummy food, champagne, and chocolate. We ate and drank on a deserted golf course, amidst naked trees and chirping birds. It was perfect.
