I've mentioned before that Kyle and I lived in Korea for almost three years. For about two weeks in the spring, the entire country comes alive in a blanket of pink cherry blossoms. They're fleeting, but they are just so, so incredibly beautiful. In celebration of spring's almost arrival, I thought I'd share some photos that I took in Jinhae, South Korea, at the height of the cherry blossoms, almost exactly two years ago. (Forgive the less-than-stellar quality of the photos!)
Springtime makes me long for Korea, but luckily I won't have to be without cherry blossoms this year because D.C. has a huge cherry blossom festival every spring. 2012 also happens to be the festival's 100th anniversary! Totally worth the two-and-a-half-hour drive up.
Happy Friday, everyone!
