As I mentioned in my post on Monday, we spent the last few days in an adorable little log cabin B&B. Our two-night stay was a wonderful wedding gift from a few friends and it's just what we needed after weeks of us both feeling like we haven't had a minute of free time. We both have some exciting stuff going on right now, so I'm not complaining! But the down time was much needed.
We stayed at Cripple Creek Cabins and had our own little log cabin that was completely secluded and surrounded by trees. The owner brought a hot breakfast to our door each morning and we ate it while sitting in rocking chairs on our little porch. We read a bit, explored a lot and grilled our own dinner on our front porch! Kyle got attacked by a moth the size of a bat and I screamed! It was great!
For some reason, I didn't take any photos of the inside of the cabin. The natural light inside was never great, so I kept putting it off for later, and then completely forgot. But it was adorable. And was complete with a fireplace and even a jacuzzi! I spent my whole childhood going on camping trips, but at this point, this little cabin is as close as I get to "roughing it." I'm a bug-phobe.
Here are some photos from our cabin getaway, filled with lots of green and lots of cute cats, who live at the B&B!
I have some more photos from our adventures on the drive home yesterday (teaser: baby camels!) that I'll share tomorrow. Hope you're having a wonderful day!
