Some very pretty art that I've had my eye on lately:

You see, I have a tragically empty frame wall in my living room that is in dire need of some art:
I made the frame wall last October, and half of the frames are still empty. I wish I was joking, but I'm not. I hastily filled a few with some of our engagement and wedding pictures, but capped it at six so it wasn't overkill! I also framed a swatch of fabric, a couple of my own non-wedding photos, and a couple prints that I bought from Etsy shops, but I need to do something about these empty frames. See that brown-filled frame in the upper left hand corner? Yeah, that's the cardboard backing with an IKEA sticker on it. Needless to say, I desperately need to finish this wall off.
The prints above are exactly the kind of art that I'd love to fill my frames with. Deep blues, blush pinks, watercolors and strong patterns. I planned to collect prints over time, but somehow just completely forgot to start looking. I'd love to fill some frames with my own graphic work as well, and wouldn't mind losing some of our wedding photos (especially the big reddish one in the middle) that don't fit into the color scheme I'd like, as I start to add more and more.
If there are any Etsy shops or artists that you can recommend for pretty art, I'd love to hear your suggestions! And how do you go about collecting art prints in general? Are you typically attracted to prints in a particular color scheme? I'd love to hear!
Speaking of prints, this beautiful one is keeping me particularly inspired today:
I would love to hang this above my desk. When I first read this quote in a Steve Jobs speech, shortly after he died, it took my breath away. It's stuck with me ever since and will continue to for a long, long time. (If you've never heard the speech I'm referring to, I would really, really recommend giving it a listen or a read. It's one of the most beautiful, poignant, astute things I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.)
Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
