Happy Monday! (and happy Memorial Day, if you're in the U.S!) I wanted to share pictures of some animal friends we made on our way back from our little getaway last week. We stopped at a zoo on the drive back that we've been to before, but it's one of those modest little zoos where you can pet half the animals, so it was hard to resist paying them a visit.
There were fluffy camels, adorable pygmy goats, and plenty of other entertaining animals, including some wild bunnies that had befriended the chickens that roam the property and a white tiger that we caught stalking the zoo's resident puppy (from within its cage!). We loved it.
On our way out of the area, we stopped by Foamhenge. It's a full-scale replica of Stonehenge, made out of giant foam blocks. We went because it seemed like classic roadside kitsch, but it actually turned out to be on this beautiful, peaceful little hill overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was perfect.
Just the prettiest hilltop. I could sit there all day. We even saw several wild bunnies hopping around! Which is always a huge deal for me; my love of bunnies is well documented!
Hope you're having a great day! I'm quite excited for this week, because I'll be hosting my first giveaway ever on Paper Crowns. And it's a big one. I can't wait.
